This book contains a collection of accompanied vocalises along with strategies for their effective use. These exercises have been proven effective by two of America's leading choral conductors - Weston Noble and Paul Nesheim. The exercises attempt to provide technical value and expressive appeal. The work is intended as a warm-up and voice building tool for the choral rehearsal, but can also be adapted for private and class voice instruction. Many of the vocalises may be used successfully by students of any age and ability level, while other exercises are specifically intended for intermediate or advanced singers. This Singers' Edition contains the melodies for each of the 68 vocalises found in the Director's Edition (available separately, 301054R.) Each vocalise is printed in the lowest and highest keys along with an indication of the number of repetitions necessary to arrive at the high key.
