Glen Dimick
Dr. Glen Dimick,is an active musician and educator. His principal teachers include Daniel Perantoni, Floyd Cooley, and Alan Baer. Mr. Dimick has earned degrees from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music (B.M.) and DePaul University (M.M.). During his time at DePaul, he maintained a large low brass studio and freelanced in Chicago. Mr. Dimick has completed his doctoral coursework at the Jacobs School in Bloomington.
Mr. Dimick was famed pedagogue Daniel Perantoni's Associate Instructor for three years, during which time he toured the Carolinas with the Indiana University Brass Quintet. Mr. Dimick has also served on faculty at Murray State in Kentucky and at the Jacobs School as Adjunct-Lecturer of tuba. During the summers, he has served as faculty at the Masterworks Festival and at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Mr. Dimick, a busy performer, is a substitute member of the Louisville Symphony, a recording musician in Indianapolis, and has played with groups such as the Madison Brass, Camerata Orchestra, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. He is a founding member of the Mirari Brass Quintet, a chamber ensemble dedicated to new music and the evolution of brass literature. Mr. Dimick is currently principal tubist for the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic.
