Hall Crystal Piccolo in C - 0104 Ivy

Hall's lower pitched piccolo makes clean crisp sounds, softer and mellower than the silver piccolo. The C piccolo plays one note lower than Hall's D piccolo. Both piccolos are great for small hands, for the fingering holes are placed closer together than on the larger crystal flutes, making it easier to cover the tone holes. The piccolo, being a higher pitched instrument, requires a tighter embouchure and is slightly more difficult to play than the larger flutes.

This beautiful piccolo is handmade by flute maker James Hall, using Pyrex® glass. It is hand-decorated with glass enamels, making each piccolo a work of art. Kiln firing at 1050°F permanently fuses the decoration to the glass. Each piccolo is carefully hand-tuned and shaped with a modern Boehm taper to produce a note range of two and one half octaves. The piccolo has a beautiful tone, and is about 12-1/2 inches long.
