Karen Bronson

Karen BronsonDr. Karen Andreas Bronson is adjunct clarinet professor at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and runs a private clarinet studio in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. She is the host of the podcast “The Clarinet Pedagogue," and can be heard on recordings with North Texas Wind Symphony. In 2019, she founded The Avenue C Project, a collaborative platform for wind musicians and composers, and has commissioned pieces for reed trio and for bass clarinet. She is the founder/co-educator of Virtual Clarinet Camp, online group learning for middle and high school clarinetists. Dr. Bronson has presented at National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors Conference, Texas A&M Clarinet Colloquium, ClarinetFest, and the Texas Music Educators Association Convention. Clarinet performance degrees earned are a Doctor of Musical Arts from University of North Texas with a related field degree in Wind Band Conducting, a Master of Music from University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Music degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
