Printed Music Sales Associate

8/22/2023 - Groth Music is seeking to fill a part-time (16-32 hours per week) position in our Printed Music Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to in-store, phone, and website customers
  • Pick and process orders
  • Use our sales system to invoice and return merchandise, enter orders, take payments, view customer history, and generate price quotes
  • Receive and shelve music
  • Add products to the grothmusic.com website
  • Assist with inventory tracking and management
  • Research the availability of printed music
  • Securely handle customer information and business documents
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the department: vacuuming, dusting, straightening, merchandising
  • Work a set schedule, including Saturdays

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong background in classical music
  • Good customer service and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills, including competency with Windows, email, point of sale, web browsers
  • Typing proficiency
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and track multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Prior experience in retail or music education is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage of $15.00/hour.

E-commerce Fulfillment and Support

8/22/2023 - Groth Music is seeking to fill a part-time (20-32 hours per week) or full-time (32-40 hours per week) position in our E-commerce Department.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direct supervision of the E-commerce manager to maintain and grow Groth's e-commerce business
  • Import, pick, and process ecommerce orders
  • Provide excellent service and technical support to customers over the phone and by email
  • Use our sales system to invoice and return merchandise, enter orders, take payments, view customer history, and generate shipping labels
  • Add new products to the grothmusic.com website
  • Assist with inventory tracking and management
  • Securely handle customer information and business documents
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our warehouse by shelving and organizing merchandise, sweeping,
  • Work a set morning schedule, including Saturday mornings and most or all weekday mornings

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • High level of comfort and familiarity with computers, including competency with Windows, Microsoft Excel/Libre Office Calc, and web browsers
  • Typing proficiency
  • Attention to detail
  • Good customer service and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Understanding and appreciation of music
  • Prior experience in retail or fulfillment
  • Experience in web development, including knowledge of any of the following: html, css, javascript, jQuery, SQL, ASP.NET MVC, xml

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage of $15.00/hour or higher commensurate with experience. Full-time employees receive company benefits including paid time off, company supported insurance, and a retirement plan.

Instrument Sales

8/22/2023 - Groth Music is seeking to fill a part-time (20-32 hours per week) or full-time (32-40 hours per week) position in our Instrument Department. The full-time position is reserved for an orchestral strings specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to in-store and phone customers
  • Advise customers in selecting instruments and accessories
  • Assist with our instrument rental program, including writing new contracts, explaining our rental program, and taking in rental returns
  • Use our sales system to invoice and return merchandise, enter orders, take payments, view customer history, and generate price quotes
  • Assist with inventory tracking and management
  • Securely handle customer information and business documents
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the department: vacuuming, dusting, straightening, merchandising
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Work a set schedule, including Saturdays

Qualifications and Skills

  • Background in music. Candidates for the full-time orchestral strings position should play violin, viola, cello, or string bass.
  • Good customer service and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills, including competency with Windows, email, point of sale, web browsers
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and track multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Prior experience in retail or music education is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage of $15.00 per hour or higher commensurate with experience. The full-time orchestral strings position is eligible for commission. Full-time employees receive company benefits including paid time off, company supported insurance, and a retirement plan.
