Jasmine Flower is a Chinese folk song originally created during the Qianlong Empire period of the Qing Dynasty. The melody had been printed for the first time in Western notation as early as 1806, but has become well known for having been included by Giacomo Puccini in his opera Turandot, where it is associated with the "Splendor of Turandot". This famous Chinese song was also sung by Peking University students during the closing ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. This arrangement for clarinet and piano by Wu Na is dedicated to Professor Dejun Dong.
