Description
A clock is not just a measuring device that shows the current time or measures a certain period of time. A clock can also be the inspiration for a piece of music and so the regular ticking of a clock is the focus of this work for 3 flutes. The composer got the idea when he heard the gears of an old mechanical clockwork striking. This regular striking is represented by a continuous eighth-note movement that continues uninterrupted in all three flute voices.
