From the almost inexhaustible pool of flute duets, the editors Elisabeth Weinzierl and Edmund Wachter discovered lesser-known treasures from four centuries for this collection in order to make them (re)accessible to the interested flute world. As authentic sources as possible served as models for the compositions: autographs, early copies or first printings that made it possible to approximate the original text.
