A Brass Menagerie was written for the New Mexico Brass Quintet who premiered the work in 1985. The title, drawn from playwright Tennesee William's A Glass Menagerie, in this case depicts not a group of diverse animals, but rather a colection of diverse movements more or less resembling a divertimento. The work has been recorded by the New Mexico Brass Quintet. (Crystal CD560) as well as by several other groups. This new 2004 edition includes revisions and corrections to the first published edition. Instrumentation: Includes score and parts.
- I. Allegro molto ed energico
- II. Lento
- III. Scherzando ben ritmico IV. alla marcia
- V. Brillante
