Euphonies - 4 Euphoniums and 2 Tubas

Euphonies was writetn to display the grandiloquent chracteristics of euphoniums and tubas. While ample literature is available for mixed brass ensembles, fewer serious works appear for combined euphoniums and tubas. Euphonies affords the players the opportunity to explore the full range of both instruments together with extremes in dynamic contrast as well as the lyric beauty of these marvelous instruments.

The first movement is a fanfare; the send is a sonorous lyrical poem followed by a rollicking finale based on the tone-row which is outlined in the first four measures of this third movement.
