The first, Magnificent Rocky Mountains captures a bit of the grandeur of this awe-inspiring mountain range using chords, but remains friendly to performers with smaller hands. The second, Peaceful Prairielands, reflects the grace and subtle beauty of the Colorado plains with the melody in the left hand and harmonies in the right hand. Snowstorm! is in 6/8 meter. It features a descending right hand chromatic scale, portraying the falling snow or perhaps an avalanche.
