17 Classical Solos consists of original clarinet music written between the years 1773 and 1885. The pieces are presented in unaccompanied form, the object being to give the clarinetist music to enjoy playing on his or her own. The operatic excerpts are virtually without accompaniment in their original form, and other solos have been chosen for their suitability to stand alone.
