Description
This album of vocal duets with piano was selected and edited by Viola Morris and Victoria Anderson, an Australian soprano and contralto duet who toured the world during the 1930's-1950's, and includes both classic literature of the 16th-19th centuries and some pieces contemporary to them. Part 1 covers C4-G5 with an "optional" A5, and has a medium-high tessitura with frequent G5's. Part 2 covers A3-F#5 and has a mostly medium tessitura, with a few duets pushing the tessitura higher. Each duet is presented in its original language with a parallel English singing text (as applicable) by Marion Farquhar.
