Description
For flute and piano. This piece is inspired by the poem of the same title by Fred D'Aguiar and depicts the historical practice of "the selling, trading, and transporting of enslaved Africans from Africa to the New World." The work is dedicated to Elizabeth Crone and Richard Masters and was commissioned by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
