This concerto was originally composed for solo alto and tenor chalumeaux with strings. In this flexible Musica Rara edition from 1971 edited by Hermann Dechant, the pull-out solo parts have been trancribed for two B-flat clarinets. The piano score, however, retains the solo chalumeaux lines in their original keys and clefs, with Chalumeau 1 notated in French G Clef and Chalumeau 2 notated in bass clef. As such, the piano score could be used as a performance score by chalumeaux soloists.
See MR1633B for a complete set of instrumental parts for the concerto, including solo clarinet parts, one each of the string parts, and a full score.
