Our Core Values

Minnesota Owned, Family Operated

Groth Music is a Minnesota-owned, family-run business with a rich company history. Groth’s success is built on this history and on employee successes and accomplishments. Employees are treated with respect, integrity and fairness, and are recognized for their contributions to the company and rewarded according to their performance.

Passionate about Music

Groth Music management and employees are typically active or retired professional musicians, music educators, college graduates from music programs, or people with experience from other fields of music. Employees and management have a passion for music and a desire to share that passion and experience with customers of any age and any ability level, and to help them reach their full musical potential.

Quality and Integrity

Management and staff work to ensure that products and services Groth Music offers are of a high quality, safe, and offered at fair and competitive prices. Products are always suggested based on their usefulness to the customer, and every effort is made to find products in the customer’s desired price range.

Substantial Storefront and Inventory Availability

While Groth Music markets to educators and music enthusiasts throughout the country through a printed catalog and substantial web presence, the company still recognizes the importance of a significant storefront and showroom and maintains very high inventory levels not typical of the music industry. Products and services offered are continually changing in order to be current with the demands and needs of the changing music community.

Expert Product Knowledge

The physical storefront, catalog, internet and phone sales channels are all supported by representatives, many of whom specialize according to instrument type and product type. Groth Music has high expectations for employee knowledge and expertise, and typically has at least 35-40 full-time employees covering a full range of musical specialties.

Support of Products Through Repair Services, Lessons, Hosted Events

In addition to product sales, rentals and support, Groth Music recognizes the importance of offering specialized services to its customers, and therefore maintains a full instrument repair shop staffed according to the demand of its customers, provides private lessons for all instruments, and hosts events which are relevant to educators, students, amateurs, and professionals.

By providing full service to its customers and helping its employees meet their career goals, Groth Music intends to be a visible and valued member of the Twin Cities Music community and of the greater music community in the USA.
