Fanfarria - Concert Band

Fanfarria reflects the personal experiences of migrant families.  The music reflects on a vision of hope for a family working to succeed in a new environment.  The music embodies emotions of worry, confusion, hope, honor and celebration.  The family is represented by the Latin rhythms and sounds of Cuba and the Dominican Republic.  At times, this theme may be absorbed in a menacing cloud of sounds (in a different key), representing a community that is not willing to accept change.  This fanfare ends in a celebration for change, acceptance and love.
